GTA 6 — Everything Officially Confirmed So Far
A clean separation of fact from rumour. Only what Rockstar has actually stated or shown, with everything speculative explicitly marked as such.
The volume of GTA VI misinformation is extraordinary, and a lot of it is presented with total confidence. This page does the opposite: it lists only what Rockstar has officially confirmed or directly shown, and clearly flags everything else.

Confirmed by Rockstar
Release date. 19 November 2026.
Platforms. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. No PC version has been announced.
Setting. The fictional state of Leonida, a Florida analogue, with Vice City as its central metropolis. This is the first mainline return to Vice City since 2002.
Protagonists. Two playable leads, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Lucia is the first female playable protagonist in a mainline Grand Theft Auto game, which is a genuine first for the series after more than two decades.
Premise. The pair are presented as a criminal couple, with Rockstar's own framing drawing on the Bonnie and Clyde archetype.
Trailers. Two official trailers have been released, the second in May 2025.
Strongly evidenced by trailer footage
Not statements, but visible on screen and therefore reliable:
Commonly repeated and NOT confirmed
This is the section that matters most.
Exact map size. Every specific square-kilometre figure circulating is an estimate derived from trailer analysis. Rockstar has published no number.
Mission count, chapter structure, ending count. Entirely unconfirmed. Anything you have read with specific numbers is speculation.
Property purchasing, business ownership, character progression systems. Plausible given series history. Not announced.
PC release date. Not announced. See our dedicated PC article for why, and what history suggests.
GTA Online transfer of money or progress. Not confirmed. Treat all claims here with scepticism.
Detailed system requirements, install size, performance modes. None of these are final and published.
How to evaluate a GTA 6 claim
A practical filter, given how much noise there is:
1. Does it trace to the Rockstar Newswire or an official trailer? If not, it is unverified by default.
2. Is it specific in a suspicious way? Real leaks tend to be fragmentary. Fabrications tend to arrive as tidy, complete lists.
3. Does the source have a track record? A small number of reporters have genuinely broken accurate Rockstar news. Most aggregator accounts simply recycle them with added embellishment.
4. Is the claim conveniently unfalsifiable until launch? That is a common structure for engagement-farming content.
Our approach
Across this site, every database entry is labelled Confirmed, Rumoured or Speculation. We would rather tell you we do not know something than present a guess as fact. This page is reviewed whenever Rockstar publishes anything new.
